Walk No. 1

Woohoo!  This morning I set the alarm for 5.45 and then pressed snooze – it went off again at 6 and I was about to press snooze when my bladder said no it’s time to rise and shine.  So the running order was toilet, feed cats, update iPod and tweet then get dressed and out the door at 6.30.  I knocked off the iPod at 6.55 exactly.  This walk used to take me 20 minutes and I’m starting at 25.  I think that the future plans are to try and knock time off of that.  Once I hit a steady time I’ll walk a little bit further.

On the other hand we’re going away this evening so I’m not going to get a walk in so I’ll just have to try and get more walking done.  Does that make sense?  I can’t think of any other way to phrase it.

I have a feeling that I will never be a gym bunny.  I feel great after going for that walk again like the Aqua Aerobics a bit wrecked but really glad that I did it.  There isn’t the same feeling of having to do it.

Right I’ve had a few minutes to relax and it’s now time for a shower (I can’t wait for the en suite to be finished).  BTW I’ve just looked at my pedometer and I did 0.8 miles so that’s almost the amount I would have done in the gym at lunch time.  Naturally I don’t think I’ll be going  at lunch time but it’s nice to know that I did my walk already.

  1. Great job on your walking. I love to walk and after I lost enough weight I actually started to run too. I lost 130 lbs on WW and it feels sooo good to be able to move
