Film Photography Competition as Digital Challenge…

As part of my wander through the internet I stumbled upon Lomography.  It’s full of pretty pictures all taken with film.  Film scares me – I’m so used to digital – the ability to take tens of photos in the hopes of getting one decent shot – with film what you take is what you get – and in my childhood it’s a case of you get it several months after the event.

Anyway I digress!  On the site they are running a competition – a photographer has to submit 36 analogue (for want of a better word) photos the subjects of which are as follows:

  1. Home
  2. Family
  3. 20 steps from home
  4. A greeting
  5. Secret Spot
  6. Street food
  7. School
  8. History
  9. Cityscape
  10. Market
  11. Local hangout spot
  12. Public transport
  13. Animal on the street
  14. Smile
  15. Night lights
  16. Patterns
  17. Signs
  18. Graffiti
  19. Art
  20. Tools of the trade
  21. Windows
  22. People at work
  23. Garden
  24. Freeway
  25. Relax
  26. Flag
  27. Music
  28. Sunrise
  29. Sunset
  30. Tradition
  31. City Pride
  32. Hero
  33. Colours
  34. Under the sun
  35. Childhood
  36. Love

Now I’ve done a photo-a-day for a month and it has all fallen by the way side after a week and a half – so the plan with this list is: any subject in any order as and when I like.
